The Intent stage is designed as a conversation with OrcasAgent™ Guide, a model-building assistant. It is meant to plan the cognition with you, weigh the trade-offs, find the data and the sources, right-size the GPU to your budget, and scaffold every downstream station before you touch a control.
The aim: you shape the build in conversation, with straight answers about what it will cost and what it will take.

Designed for the GPU you choose.
Cognition Factory is built to compare prices across GPU providers and plan the run before a cent is spent, with fail-closed cost guards that stop a job before it exceeds its budget. Or bring your own: a GPU you already own is designed to join over an encrypted private network, with no public IP.
A gate, not a push.
In design, cognitions reach the mesh only through the Breach: per-file checksum, license and provenance checks, and a real load probe. What passes would become an immutable, content-addressed capability for the mesh to onboard. What fails would come back with the reason. Nothing crosses on trust.
Every number is real, or it's blank.
The Factory is designed to show a metric only when a real backend produced it. No mock dashboards, no seeded curves, no fabricated confidence. If a gauge has no signal, it is meant to say so. It is the same principle the whole platform runs on.
